Common Grounds Coffee House began as a coffee roaster and transformed over the years into a local coffee shop that the community loves. They started in the West Highland area in 1992 as an alternative to the local bars.

A Place For the Community To Hang Out and Drink Coffee

They saw a need for a place that built community but wanted to offer something besides alcohol. So they created Common Grounds Coffee House. It was a place to hear local music, grab a cup of coffee for 75 cents and help out a struggling neighborhood. They had to move to a new location in 2013.

They Roast All Of Their Own Coffee

They are now located in the Sunnyside neighborhood of North Denver and embodies everything that makes a local cafe so amazing. They still roast all their own coffee so you can get it fresh from the roaster. They’ve been in business for more than 25 years and love the local community.

The decor is colorful and eclectic with green walls, yellow chairs, and splashes of warm wood tones throughout. There are plenty of seats so you can meet up with a friend or a large group of colleagues. Books are lining the walls and games and toys to entertain even the smallest guest.
