Metropolis Coffee first came to Golden Triangle neighborhood of Denver in 2002. 17 years later this coffee house is going strong, with two more locations added to the mix in the Lower Highlands and Baker Neighborhoods.
These locations proudly serve coffee seven days a week. Denver locals love this company and what it stands for. It also brings many visitors from all over the world. If you haven’t already, look at our Sumatran guide for coffee recommendations at home.
Serving Denver Amazing Coffee Since 2002
In its early years, Metropolis partnered with Herkimer Coffee – a wholesale distributor based in Seattle – to bring high quality, sustainable coffee to their store. They proudly showcase this coffee along with a special Whiskey Barrel Coffee.
The Decor Is Mixed Between Industrial and Natural
The interior of each Metropolis Coffee location offers a mix of industrial and natural elements. None of the three shops look the same, but it isn’t hard to tell they represent the same brand.
Large windows let in plenty of natural light, and minimal artwork and decor pieces add visual interest to the space. Any one of these shops would make a great place to hunker down and get some work done in any kind of weather.
They Proudly Serve Herkimer Coffee
Metropolis coffee is very proud to serve Herkimer Coffee, and I can see why, this coffee has rave reviews. You can find sustainably sourced bean options from several different countries.
Don’t Forget To Try Their Whiskey Barrel Coffee
Another unique offering found at Metropolis is their Whiskey Barrel Coffee. This product is made in Denver by aging coffee beans in whiskey barrels before roasting.
While the roasting process takes out the remaining alcohol content, it leaves behind the signature whiskey flavor. Metropolis also offers a wide variety of non-coffee beverages.
Partnered With Local Restaurants To Offer Delicious Food Options
When it comes to partnering with other businesses, they don’t stop at coffee. Metropolis is partnered with three separate restaurants to bring unique and delicious flavors to each of their shops.
You can find fresh baked Empanadas from Maria Empanadas, an assortment of baked goods from Revolution Bakeshop, and a variety of donuts and fritters from Winchell’s.
As each shop has different food brought to them, you will always be in for a flavor surprise when you step through the doors.
