East Portland Coffee Roasters is a coffee shop and cafe located in Portland, Oregon. Logically, as its name implies, it is on the Eastern side of Portland, and it is situated not far from a local college, and as such, many of its customers are students.
A Late-Night Spot for College Students
The experience at East Portland Coffee Roasters is tailored with its consumer base in mind. Taking into account the lifestyles led by the average college student, the cafe is open from 6:00 a.m. to midnight. The late-night hours offer a place to study, hang out, and keep caffeinated after a long day of classes.
The college-centric amenities don’t end with just being open late, however. Certainly, coffee is vital for extended cramming periods, but so too are food and snacks.
Offering All Sorts of Food
East Portland Coffee Roaster serve a wide array of edible options. There are a multitude of paninis, loaded with meats, vegetables, fruit, avocados, hummus, and more.
There are Gluten Free Options Too!
Some options are vegan in nature, and every panini can substitute its bread for croissants, bagels, baguettes, and gluten-free bread. These substitutions are offered in other forms as well, such as the wealth of desserts on-hand.
Serving up Ice Cream, Candy, Pies & More
Homemade desserts such as tarts, pies, cookies, donuts, bars, and more satisfy those with a sweet-tooth, and ice cream from What’s the Scoop can both compliment and combine with the candy the cafe sells.
For those desiring something more substantial than a mere drink, yet unable to sit and eat, there are fresh-ingredient smoothies. Further food options include soups, salads, and toasts that come in many varieties, but that can be customized to become avocado toast, or even self-styled flat-bread pizzas.
The cafe itself is loaded with wooden tables and chairs amidst a wooden ceiling and a black and white checkered floor. Locally created art, such as tapestries and paintings, are scattered thoughtfully across all of the gray and dark-tan painted walls.
Providing Sourced Coffee from all Over the World
However, the coffee is at the heart of the business. Sourced from Tanzania, Rwanda, China, and beyond, the coffee is fashioned into lattes, mochas, cappuccinos, macchiatos, americanos, espresso, cold brew, and drip coffee.
Try Their Signature Drink, The Omega
Alternative milks such as almond, soy, coconut, and hemp can be added, but the signature beverage is “The Omega.” This combines coffee with cinnamon and coconut, as well as grass-fed butter.
Chai, matcha, hot chocolates, and fresh fruit juices complete the beverage menu, but no matter what you order, it will be available late into the night.
