Last Christmas, I “gifted” my husband the Jura 8, and to compare it to a De’Longhi, I ordered a De’Longhi as well. I have to say, while the coffee from both was terrific, there were obvious differences between both coffee machines that I want to tackle here, element by element. After this breakdown, I get into model by model comparison as well!

Both Jura and Delonghi are known for their sleek designs and aesthetics. However, the Delonghi machines tend to have a more contemporary and modern look, while Jura machines have a more classic and timeless appearance.
So, if you prefer a more modern look, De’Longhi might be the better option for you. But if you prefer a timeless design that never goes out of style, Jura could be the winner. In my heart, Jura wins the looks but my husband seemed to prefer the aesthetics of the De’Longhi machines. So this will come down to your preference!

When it comes to ease of use, both Jura and Delonghi machines are relatively simple to operate. However, De’Longhi machines seem to be more user-friendly, with easy-to-read instructions and a simple interface.
Similarly, Jura machines are pretty easy to figure out too. They’re super-automatic coffee machines which means you literally push one button for the most delicious latte to be made on the spot! These machines are also jam packed with some cool features.
If you’re looking for a coffee machine that is easy to use and doesn’t require too much of a learning curve, then both brands produce models that are easy to use so this category is a draw.

If you’re someone who loves to customize their coffee experience, then Jura might be the better option for you.
Jura machines come with a range of customizable settings, including coffee strength, temperature, and volume. On the other hand, Delonghi machines have fewer customizable options but still offer a good range of features, such as automatic milk frothing and adjustable coffee spouts.
So, while Jura may provide more customization options, Delonghi offers more simplicity with features that are easier to use. If you love customizing your coffee to a tee, then Jura wins this category!

Both coffee makers produce machines that do need proper cleaning and descaling unless you use the CLEAR filter for the Jura machines; using the CLEAR filter, you’ll only need to descale your Jura a couple of times a year!

Pricing is an important factor when it comes to investing in a coffee machine. Jura machines tend to be more expensive than Delonghi machines.
However, Jura machines offer a wider range of features and customization options. Delonghi machines offer great value for their price and are more affordable overall. It all comes down to your budget.
If your budget doesn’t restrict you, I strongly urge you to go for the Jura S8 as I love mine.

Do the De’Longhi Coffee Machines Have to be Descaled Unlike the Jura Machines?
Yes, Delonghi machines do need to be descaled in order to keep them working properly.
Which of these Two Coffee Machines Makes the Better Coffee?
If I am being fair and honest, machines from both sets made really good coffee. However, with tons of things and chores to do throughout the day, I love the super-automatic nature of the Jura machines and knowing that if I use the CLEAR filter, they only need to be descaled 2-4 times a year is pretty awesome for me, personally. The aesthetics also matter to me and I love the style of the Jura S8 and their other models as well.
This is all going to come down to your budget but if there are no limitations, I would choose one of the Jura coffee machines.
What’s the Verdict: Jura Coffee Machines or De’Longhi Coffee Machines?
Hands down, if budget isn’t an issue, I’d opt for one of the Jura coffee machines. I love the Jura S8 and now that I’ve tested the Giga 10, I love it as well!
If you are looking for a coffee machine with a classic design and advanced customization options, Jura might be worth the higher price tag.
However, if you’re looking for a more modern design with great value for money, Delonghi machines are the way to go.
At the end of the day, both brands produce high-quality coffee machines, so you can’t go wrong with either one!
